Navoz Estudio provides dubbing and UN-style voice-over services in Brazilian Portuguese for cartoons, movies, short films, series, soap operas, reality shows, documentaries, and games (localization). We offer high-quality audio captured inside our studio; the recording can be broadcast to any platform: TV, On Demand, Streaming, YouTube, etc.
Dubbing is not just about making a Brazilian version of a foreign media by casting voice actors and synchronizing audio to video. It is crucial to look for what the production demands in each scene and the intention behind the actions and speeches of the characters. We must be careful with the melody of our national language, considering its sonority according to the tone, intensity, volume, inflection, speed, and rhythm of speech. As an example, just as English has its own sonority, we Brazilians use inflection to accentuate an interrogative sentence in our language.
UN-style voice-over has specific traits that distinguish it from dubbing. The voice actor’s lines must start a second later and end a second earlier than the lines shown in the original audio. In this work, the voice actor reads the script in a less emotive fashion, and reactions are not usually recorded. Lastly, the audio track in Brazilian Portuguese must overlay the original audio and play simultaneously alongside it. To avoid comprehension problems, the original audio volume drops, and the voice-over comes in over the top.
